The commander of the 16th battalion of SNA Ismail Abdimalik told journalists the forces inflicted heavy toll on the militants and foiled an attack aimed at Kismayo town.
According to the officer, his forces seized two vehicles loaded with explosives which he said were headed to Kismayo town.
